I just looked at the edit posts and saw I had started a post (just a title) called Sesame Street Characters. When I was at the mall with a friend last week, they had all the sesame street character stuffed animals (whatever you call them). We started laughing about favorite characters. Mine was Cookie Monster! Remember that awesome cake I had for my 6 or 7th birthday of cookie monster with a big cookie in his mouth? (did you make that mom?) Now I have memories of characters related to sisters...but who REALLY was each of your favorites?
Kelli--was yours really Grover, or was he associated with you because you could run just like him...
Jenny--ERNIE? We had hours of fun with the Ernie puzzle toy thingy!
P.S. Jenny, Kim, Kelli we're still waiting for your concert lists!

I have to admit I did not make the Cookie Monster cake. I found it at Albertsons. We could all take cake decorating lessons from Jenny.
By the way, something I keep wondering about - I have to type a "word verification" below to enter this comment - what good is that?? I don't get it.
Doesn't Kelli have a "rainbow connection" with Kermit the Frog?
Mome'-the word verification thing pops up if you are NOT logged into the blog, i think. So you can sign-in first, up at the top right part of the page. The W.V. makes sure that a real "human" is using the computer and someone is not sending out a bunch of "spam" or nasty comments, stuff like that.
I love the classic Sesame Street characters. Grover, The Count, Cookie Monster, oh and Snuffleupagus (is that how you spell it!? lol)
Also Bert and Ernie! Who can forget "here fishy fishy fishy" or "I can't hear you Bert, I have a banana in my ear"---LOL
I have to say in all honesty, I cried when Mr. Hooper died and also when Jim Henson died. We grew up with them in our home for almost as long as I could remember. Mom but me and Jill this little record & book set of Sesame Street songs when we still lived on 62nd South in SLC. We would play them over and over on our little portable record player!
Mome', Jill-do you remember those little records? Good memories!
oh I remember those little records! I love trash--
Yep! and the one where the bird comes down and steals the cookie!
I have a 3 disc collection of "Songs from the Street." I love it. Ernie was my character...I loved the banana in the ear skit with Bert. It made me laugh every time.
Has anyone else noticed that Lori is now posting at 4:00 AM? We all know that Lori's not staying up that late, she's GETTING UP that early! What's up with that, Lori?
