Imagine, if you will, a mother who has just picked up Jr. High carpool.....
On this particular day she drives a blue Suburban that is past its prime but has served her family honorably. It has suffered a long deep gouge at the hand's of "someone's key". It also bears a dent on one side from a teenage driver and a couple of "dings" in the bumper, the fault of the primary driver.
A suburban
5 teenage girls
A mom....and...
One miniature schnauzer.
It's slurpee day.
While buying a myriad of slurpees and treats, 2 college boys laugh, the clerk smiles and asks if she wants a "free" car wash. Little did she know it would turn out to be a MOST expensive bath for the car.
"Put the car in neutral and take your foot off the brake" the attendant says. The car moves slowly through the automated wash while "rainbow sherbet" colored soaps cover the car completely, obstructing any outside view from any window.
Suddenly, the small gray dog leaps from the middle seat onto the driver's lap. He must have bumped the gearshift, putting the car in DRIVE. Because the next thing that happened was a "bang" and an abrupt stop! The suburban has hit the small SUV in front of it! Oh my was this mother embarrassed and frustrated. Why me? Why now? She was SO shocked! She didn't even curse.
It was the college boys that had pleasantly joked with her about buying all the treats inside the store. Fortunately she had hit the "spare tire" and its mounting bracket on the rear of the car. Their vehicle was unscathed.
She apologized to them and to the "carpool" kids profusely. When she finally returned home she was free, in private, to inspect the damage to her loyal transport.
YES that's a giant dent front and center and NO the hood doesn't close completely anymore. Poor car. POORER mother.

Look at the bright side - the car is still drivable (and doesn't look all that bad), and your insurance isn't having to pay to repair someone elses car.
Maybe you could rent it out to haul goats for neighbors??
I agree Mome' renting it out to haul goats for the neighbor could actually bring in some decent income!
I'm just glad that in the end, the "blue dart" is okay, she's a little hurt but knows we love her, I do anyway! She LOVES when I drive her!!!
However, she DOES NOT like when Koa drives her!!!!
My kids and I stopped by DI on Monday night and as we parked, we noticed the Blue Dart nearby.
We only saw her from the back, so Landon ran around to the front and verified that it was Kim's car. When I asked him how he could tell (thinking he would say it was the big dent) he pointed out that her fancy schmancy plastic license plate holder was all cracked.
The kid doesn't miss much!
Poor Mother is right :(
