This is mome. It brings back so many memories...the carpet, no furniture, (notice the folding chair back there)... the other folding chair is holding our 13 inch black and white tv. We all got to take turns holding the "antenna" connected from the tv to the door hinge. (your arm would get a little tired so we'd take turns) Remember all our raggedy ann night gowns that mom made for us! (or did we share one of those like the prom dresses) Just teasing mom! I know I had my own night gown!
Some great memories!

Yes, Lori, Kelli and Jenny had their own Raggedy Ann nightgowns! And I wore mine until it was NO more, then Jenny's, then Lori's yes I think I got the ribbons cut off ALL three by dad, those long silky ribbons called to me I guess "put me in your mouth" disgusting!!! So remember the nightgowns, not so much holding any antenna though! I got the you're too you and can't do it right card I guess, PHEW!
On a side note...
I will be working on learning how to scan photos into my computer next week while Brian's gone! Yay Me!!!
No, I have NEVER in my long legged life scanned a photo before! Wish me luck, there will be so many more stories if you start praying for my success NOW!
Thank you for your support!
Wow! Talk about a throw-back to the olden days! LOL Mome' you look great! So young and so skinny. I remember this room looking just like this. Also, taking turns with the big, long wire we used as an antenna, THAT was clever. The TV we watched WAS a very small black and white. We used to love to watch "Donny & Marie".
BTW who took this picture? I can't believe the pictures that surface out of nowhere around here! :)
BTW Kim, did you ever watch your "Donny & Marie" video?
Mom looks way too young and amazing.
We were always way behind the times with furniture, window coverings, tv's and antennaes, and vcr's, heating, defrosting pipes etc.
See my three little bears on the rocking chair in the background? (They're green) Well, they died of the Hanta Virus back in '97...sad day :(.
Mom came out to help us move and she and I went out to a storage shed near our parking space to get a few boxes. I opened one up to see what was in it...my pom poms, my three bears and my clown (remember when Mome made us those?) So, there was a little mice poo in there too and Mom grabs the clown and throws it over the fence as far as she can into a field and says, "Don't touch it, you'll get the Hanta Virus." (Hanta...rhymes with Santa) I jumped the fence and rescued my clown, but Mom convinced me to throw the whole box in the dumpster. Something about "people die from that..." Sad, sad day.
I remember that day well Jen...that is so funny mom and I did just chuck that box...what is it with mom and mice. She helped me get rid of my sandbox that the mice pooped in...if anybody would have been a fly on the wall...mom and I in our masks...shoveling sand out of the box so we could move it to the garbabe it was a comical sight! Remember the mice we had in the quanset?
k that was garbage (not garbabe)...Remember the traps we use to throw books on at night so they would go off and dad would come running.. We thought we were hilarious!
