Lori:
Last week was Evan's High Trail Camp. His first time away from home. I have to admit it was a little harder for me than I thought it would be. I took my own little vacation while he was gone, and enjoyed walking with Alex most every day at lunchtime. A nice school lunch date with Avery, and Chinese with Alex- shopping, and reminiscing with Footloose! I learned I need to relax more! The Halloween Festivities also begun with a fun costume party for Alex and me at a ward members house. We enjoyed some apple eating, pumpkin carving, and coming up with some endings to scary movies and plenty of good food!
This week I have plans to be productive. (A healthy balance) Exercise is the top of my list! Does continuous vacuuming for 20 minutes count? (of course this will start after the weekend/Monday Halloween Festivities) Then get back into the normal school routine.
Goal...I'm saying out loud and writing down is teaching myself piano 5 minutes a day... A realistic start.
I'm working on my to BE list...Looking forward to Kim N.'s relief society lesson tomorrow!
Interesting thought ask your children what they think YOU value.

Great message, Lori! I remember thinking that I would NEVER send my boys off to scout camps with men I hardly knew. I was reflecting on this yesterday morning after I sent Kimball off with the marching band (230 kids + staff and chaperones) to a competition in St. George. All those scout camps prepared both of us for things like this. He's having the adventure of a lifetime and I'm so happy for him.
Finding time to relax...great idea! I like it!
I updated (briefly) my private blog. Didn't want to put pics and details of my kids on here.
Way to commit Lori! Get some Zumba in! And your 5 minutes of piano cannot be the ONE song you know from Saturday's Warrior!!! Praying for your success!
Jen! Heading over to see your stuff now!
Nice Jen! Thanks for updating!
It's always hard to send children off on their own. I remember crying when Kim started kindergarten. It did get a little easier with each one.
Yes, vacuuming does count. Anything that gets us up and moving. I wish reading would burn calories. I have so many books, and so little time.
"Unkown" needs to identify herself as Mom!
