Peterson Girl Recipes ~ No it's not a joke

If Kelli WILL do it you can too!!!

Taco Soup

1 lb hamburger cooked
1 can green beans
1 can corn
1 can kidney beans
1 can black beans
1 can stewed tomatoes
2 packets of dry taco seasoning mix

Put all ingredients in crock pot or in a large pot on the stove
Add all ingredients, DO NOT drain the canned vegetables just dump in the whole can!
If you want more broth, just add water until you are satisfied at your soups consistency
Cook until soup is warm and soup temperature ~ the longer the better, the 2nd day it always tastes better! Great leftovers so you now have 2 nights of dinners!
Add tortilla chips, sour cream, and guacamole

*I like to add whatever my family likes in this recipe ex: we like more green beans so I add 2 cans.
*I also like to make this soup with venison, it adds a lot to the flavor of the soup and it tastes great, just don't tell the kids they are eating Bambi, and this is also if you have venison available to you?
*Garbanzo beans (chick peas) are another favorite I always add to mine
*Sausage is another great addition to the hamburger or venison it spices it up a little more!
*I found this out by not having any taco seasoning once, I used Fajita dry mix and it was SO good! I now make this soup with fajita mix instead of taco! Maybe it should be called Fajita Soup?

~So... basically throw anything in a crock pot or pan that you think your family will enjoy! I also put in canned potatoes (recently found out they exist) Rotel, or salsa! I also enjoy a good box of Jiffy Corn Bread mix with mine!
Enjoy! (isn't that what most cooks say?)

Have you tried it yet, Lori? I stick with the traditional version and it's a favorite at my house. Great post, Kelli. I'm glad it wasn't a joke.

Where are the pics of Lori on your new kitchen rug...we need some humor here.

Are you serious Lor? ME, post two recipes in a row??? That's hard! Takes a lot of brain power, and currently I am running on way low! I'll try to think of something else though! We all really need to post more, our blog is WAY boring! Sorry truth hurts!
