So Avery and Rachel finally did the cutting of their own hair...Made me think of our great experiences with some real winner haircuts...I can still remember my bangs that I cut in 1983 right before Tom and Julies wedding reception...horrible!
and the time when Jaime and I cut Valerie's hair in St. George on spring break! What were we thinking?
K-Jen! Where are the pictures of some of our best haircuts! Remember the wedge (one of our sisters) gave my beautiful brunette barbie...then the new wave cut that ended up shorter than man short for you and Kelli? We need some of those pictures.

Oh boy! Some great haircuts come to mind! Some of my own and some of my other sisters'. I don't remember your bangs from 1983, Lori--were they really THAT bad? Mome gave us a couple of really fantastic "bang" trims. I also gave Jill a real stellar haircut when I was a senior and she was a sophomore. I kept trying to "get it even" and went around her head a few times. It just got shorter and shorter. As I remember, Jill handled pretty well.
I want to hear more about the story of you and Jaime cutting Valerie's hair! How old were you? How old was she? Why did she let you do that? How good/bad of a job did you do? That's pretty hilarious now, maybe not so funny at the time.
sophomores in highschool--we had to be sixteen because Jaime drove in St. George and she did not do left turns...so we would turn right until we either got where we needed to go or found a light..Valerie had that nice thick hair and we just took a big handful of her hair and some scissors (at Bunny's house) and started cutting it shorter for her. We thought it'd be easy enough--it wasn't..Dixie was not too happy with us!
